Saina Nehwal- India ki ummeed

Saina Nehwal was born on March 17, 1990 in Hyderabad city of India. Saina started her badminton training under the apt guidance of S M Arif, who was a Dronacharya Awardee. The Gopi Chand Academy of Hyderabad is the very place where Saina Nehwal is presently training. The Gopi Chand Academy at present is making plans to train Saina Nehwal in a more improved way by sending her to Holland and Denmark.

Being born to such parents as Harvir Singh, who is a scientist at Directorate of Oilseeds Research, and Usha Rani, who is a former Haryana state champion, Saina Nehwal has always received the support of her family members.

From her initial years in the courts, Saina Nehwal had been considered as full of potential. Being a National Junior champion, Saina Nehwal has performed well in all the tournaments in which she has participated. Not only national but also in international tournaments Saina Nehwal has made a mark of her own.

The Junior Czech Open, which took place in the year 2003, was a major break in the career of Saina Nehwal as she went on to win the tournament. Saina Nehwal also gave her best in the Commonwealth Games of 2004 but could not win a medal. Saina Nehwal also took part in the Junior Asian Championship of 2004.

Today, Saina Nehwal, with all her determination, conviction and willpower, is all set to make a triumphant mark in the world badminton championships. In 2010 Saina led the Indian Women’s Team to the finals of the Uber Cup.

In the same year she also became the original Indian woman to reach the semi final stage of the All-England Super Series. She also reached the semi finals at the Yonex Sunrise Badminton Asia Championships where she was the top seed.

She won the Indian Open Grand Prix Gold 2010 defeating Mew Choo Wong from Malaysia, where she was seeded in number 1. She also received prize money of $8,280. She again received top billing at the Singapore Open Super Series 2010 where she defeated the world champion Lu Lan, from China and won the tournament defeating Tzu Ying Tai from Chinese Taipei.

Virat Kohli-Indiakiummed

Virat Kohli is an Indian international cricketer. He is a middle order batsman, who can also open the batting. He can also bowl right arm medium pace. Kohli was the captain of the victorious Indian team at the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia. He represents Delhi infirst-class cricket and plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He also played for the West Delhi Cricket Academy. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2008 and was part of the Indian team which won the 2011 World Cup. Despite being a regular in the ODI side, he had to wait until 2011 before playing his first test.
Kohli captained the victorious Indian team at the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia. Batting at number 4, he scored 235 runs in 6 matches at an average of 47, including a century against the West Indies U-19s. He was also commended for making several tactical bowling changes during the tournament.
A typical modern-day cricketer, Virat Kohli plays his game aggressively, bares his emotions loudly in public, yet retains the element of maturity that forms an integral part of every good and great player. Anil Kumble said he had thought hard before calling Kohli the best under-22 player in international cricket - that would rate as perhaps the best compliments he has received. It is also proof of Kohli's transformation as a player.
His gung-ho attitude, his youthful charm and his aggression have also made him the mascot of his IPL team, the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kohli has repaid the franchise by helping Bangalore reach the finals of the 2009 and 2010 IPL seasons and then almost single-handedly taking them to the title clash in the 2011 Champions League Twenty20. His ability to assess situations and seize the moments makes Kohli one of the most exciting young talents to watch out for in the international circuit. His challenge now is to prove his mettle in the Test cricket - a return of 76 runs in the three-Test series in the Caribbean in 2011 didn't do justice to Kohli's desire and ability we say Virat is INDIAKIUMMEED.
